Grand Rapids Juvenile Offense Index Annual Report, 2007


Narrative: The Grand Rapids Juvenile Offense Index 2007 Report is the culmination of a two year evaluation project with the Community Research Institute at Grand Valley State University, the City of Grand Rapids’ Office of Children, Youth & Families, and the Grand Rapids Police Department. The report presents an analysis of juvenile data within the city of Grand Rapids from January through December of 2007. It provides data and information on juvenile offenses by youth aged 8-16 who are city residents. Data is presented both at citywide and neighborhood levels. The report also includes public policy implications and makes recommendations for moving forward with a guide that can be used for discussing the results.
