Adriana Paz is the Database Programmer of the Community Research Institute at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. She is responsible for assisting with administrative maintenance of databases, documenting data and workflow processes, developing and maintaining database applications and ad-hoc reports with focus on data conversion and data integration.
Paz joined the Johnson Center in 2011 as a Graduate Assistant Programmer for the Community Research Institute. Previously she was coordinating the implementation of HR administration systems as a Project Director at ASEINFO, a custom software development company with clients in South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Paz serves as a volunteer ESL instructor at the Allendale Public Schools and has vast experience as a professional language instructor. She earned a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Grand Valley State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Information Systems and Computer Science from Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM) in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She is interested in developing effective solutions in technology that truly make the users’ lives easier.
