The MDSA documents were developed to provide access to personally identifiable student academic records to B2B after school providers and researchers for two specific purposes:
- Authorized linkage and data transfers between Grand Rapids Public Schools and local after school program providers for the purpose of program and site management, and
- Authorized linkage of data transfers between Grand Rapids Public Schools and local after school program providers for the purpose of research and evaluation.
CRI hopes these documents help other communities across the country establish similar agreements between public school systems and after school program providers and researchers.

CRI will not use this information for any other purpose than to learn the types of organizations requesting access to this information and the context in which they intend to use the MDSA.
